We use Olive Oil From Chania Crete, Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Certified PDO Kolymvari Chania Crete.

The Kolymvari Extra Virgin Olive Oil PDO is a product from Protected Destination of Origin from the area of Kolymvari, comes from Family Groves, where the olive trees with their lustrous green and silver leaves stand peacefully overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, in Crete. Nourished by mineral rich soil and wrapped in year long sunshine, the Island of Crete offers the perfect climate to produce the highest quality olives that are harvested to produce Kolymvari Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

FIRST COLD PRESSED - Our olive oil is extracted only once from our olives under strictly controlled conditions in low-temperatures (up to 27°C). This gives our EVOO the highest and purest quality of any olive oil and an incredibly low acidity of 0.5%.

HARVESTED IN GREECE - This extra virgin olive oil is produced from olives hand picked off 3000 year old trees on the island of Crete, Greece. The olives are of the koroneiki variety which have been harvested for centuries from olive groves in the Kolymvari region.

TASTE THE DIFFERENCE - We have managed to produce an unalterable Greek olive oil that maintain all its constituents, its golden green hue, its fruity aroma and the flavors from the freshly harvested fruit. This is a result of the short time between harvest and unrefined oil processing.

Tradition and Heritage:

Greeks were the first to cultivate the olive tree in about 2500 BC and during the Minoan Era in Crete and olive oil served as the foundation of the Cretan economy. As has been shown by archaeological discoveries at Knossos from the Minoan Era, where treated olives and produce oil stored in earthenware jars and amphoras and were often exported to the islands of the Aegean and central Greece.

First Cold Extraction:

What makes this Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the cold extraction preserves the best characteristics of the olive. Using traditional harvesting methods for optimum quality and flavor, and being environmentally conscientious, the selected olives are handpicked under pristine conditions. The olive fruit is then brought to the mill, where the olive fruit is mechanically cold pressed, producing this superior category of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

We then add a proprietary blend of pure essential oils to make the different products.
